Got an idea for an original sneaker design? Go all out. Your kicks will thank you and your peeps will be jealous.
Print it
Just put your SHOE TAG film in your printer and click print. Then, sit back and watch the magic happen.
Stick it
Cut your designs to fit your shoe, roll the glue on your sneakers, and then stick it. Easy, right?
How many sheets come in the package?
6 clear blank 8.5" x 11" sheets. Please see the "Buy Now" area showing the packaging
Does the glue come with the product?
Yes. Each package contains one stick of Elmer's Extra Strength Glue.
Where can I find images?
You can search "pictures of ______", use your own photos in a file, write text yourself and best of all, you can take a picture-load it on the computer into a Word document-print and it's all custom in minutes! See our "How To" videos on Vimeo.
Is this permanent?
No. This is made for a removable design. You certainly can use different permanent glues, but watch out...it will NOT come off!
How do I get some of the residue of the shoes when I remove it?
Just a white cloth or paper towel and rub. The ink is water soluble and washable. If it gets in the laces, drop them in the washer. See our "How To" videos on Vimeo.
How many shoes will these 6 sheets make?
It all depends on your design and size of shoes. We say 2 adult shoes meaning they would be a "wrap" and use more. If you are printing logos, you can make dozens!
Can I use this on a black shoe?
No…but that will change shortly! We have all sorts of new creative ideas coming soon. Using white or light shoes make the clear film image come through.
Is there a store I can go and buy it?
Soon. As of today, it's only sold here on our website.
How Do I Clean a SHOE TAG Shoe?
Since the surface of the shoe that is covered with the SHOE TAG film is water resistant, any household cleaner will work fine in cleaning the surface without destroying the SHOE TAG film.
Some petroleum based products and specifically products like Goo Gone will weaken the SHOE TAG film surface and ultimately destroy the SHOE TAG film [the material is an adhesive product].
Action footwear covered with SHOE TAG film is washable.
Removal of SHOE TAG film
While the SHOE TAG film is water resistant, flexible and a good match for action footwear, we did design it to be removable. We want the user to be able to change out designs as frequently as they desire.
Peeling back SHOE TAG film requires some effort, but we constructed this material and the associated glue stick material to have a certain peel strength that will allow the material to be removed with only a mild amount of effort.
Cleaning the Area Post Removal
Once SHOE TAG film has be peeled off of the shoe and discarded, there will be a residue of the Elmer's glue stick still present on the shoe. The residue may have a slight 'bleed' of the inkjet ink but a little soap, water and a rag will remove the Elmer's residue and any ink bleed. As an unintentional byproduct of this process, the surface of the shoe is often cleaner than it was at the time of the initial placement of SHOE TAG film to the surface of the shoe.
Some customers using SHOE TAG film may notice a chemical smell.
The material responsible for the smell has an unpleasant odor at very low concentrations in air.
Emissions testing of SHOE TAG film have been conducted and air concentrations in the breathing zone of operators were significantly below the most restrictive occupational exposure limits in use in the United States.
Occupational exposure limits are based on the level of exposure that a typical worker can repeatedly experience without experiencing adverse health effects.
In a small enclosed space, any aroma may seem strong, even a pleasant one. A strong odor is a sign that additional ventilation and fresh air may be required.
We generally recommend a complete change of room air 6-to-10-times per hour for printer use areas.
